At Lightning Tsubaki Rescue, one of the biggest ongoing challenges we face is simply keeping everyone fed. Between our foster cats and the stray and feral colonies we care for, we go through an incredible amount of food every single day. On average, we use about 10 cans of 13 oz wet food daily , that adds up to roughly 300 cans every month , and that doesn’t even include the dry food we also provide. Rain’s Socialization Journey: A Second Chance Story
Meet Rain! Rain is one of the first feral cats we began feeding back in 2022. Over time, he was TNR’d (trap-neuter-return) and recovered from a few minor wounds, continuing his life outdoors. In 2025, we made the decision to bring him inside and begin a lengthy re-socialization and rehabilitation process, giving him a second chance at life off the streets.
